Protect Yourself From
"Phishing"
CommStar Credit Union will never call or e-mail
you asking you to verify your account information. There have
been scams going on in which someone may try to obtain your
account information by asking you to verify or update your
account information or you will no longer have online access.
This is called a phishing scam and CommStar Credit Union wants
you to be warned. Never give any of your account information to
anyone who asks for it online. CommStar Credit Union does not
solicit personal/private information via e-mail. If you receive
a message of this type, do not open the message, delete it
immediately. Then report the incident to the Internet Fraud
Complaint Center:

With the increase in fraud over the last few
years, it’s important to be as careful as you can with
personal/private information. *If you would like further
information regarding this, please contact the Credit Union.
